Hey there,

I'm sooo bored at the moment - I have 3 months off uni, and I've got very little to get on with. I'll have to find myself something to do as it's kinda strange having nothing to do. I guess I could do some reading for my course next year, but then what would I do next year?? I guess I'd get better grades though, and with me wanting to go on to do a PhD, I could probably do with the extra study time...

I move to Mount Lawley next week... should be good to get back to my old campus, but I think I'll miss the proximity to the shops, etc. that I've got at Joondalup, and seriously think Joondalup's a nicer campus to attend than Mount Lawley. Oh well, maybe things have changed since I was last there, which was about 10 years ago.

I've got my last name change notification letter here waiting to get posted... once that's done, I'm all up to date, with the exception of getting a new British passport, that is. I have been thinking about my new name this week, and it's not really caught on all that well with people I already know - I mean, my friends call me Fr. Dougall, so the name change doesn't really bother them all that much, but my family are still calling me Stephen, and I'm finding that when I'm around them, I still lumber back into my old answering to, and calling myself Stephen mode - which is highly annoying. I want rid of it, but that's not to say that I don't like the name Stephen, or the fact that my mum gave me that name... I just don't like being called it, or going by it anymore, and it gets a little frustrating when I'm going about getting used to the new name, when people are still calling me Stephen. I had thought this week, that I might like to change it again next year, but I dunno... I really like the name Wood... but if I changed it next year (when I can - not allowed to change it again for a year) to Wood, I'd have to change the surname as well.. I mean... Wood Love???? Indeed... I was thinking about Tessin or something else, but I honestly don't want to get caught in a change your name to suit an occasion type of thing kinda trap. I have something in mind, but it might not go down very well with the family. It's just that... well, honestly... I get kinda embarrassed when I tell people my surname's Love. I want this sorted though, so maybe in 1 to 2 years time, I'll change it to what I think I really want it to be, but I'll probably just wait and see how things go in the meantime.

Enough about that...

I've been looking for information about a guy born in Essex in 1901 named Peter Austin. It's kinda personal as to why, but I think about it a lot these days. Oh look, I started getting memories and stuff about being someone born in London, in 1901... and I was named Peter Austin. Anyway, I started looking up Peter Austin in the british births records, and I found out that there was a guy named Peter Austin born in Dec 1901 in Essex, which is in Greater London. So, to those who may have been curious as to why I've been feeling homesick for London lately... now you know why ;o)

What else... well.. I haven't had any booze yesterday or today.. looks like I'm going for a 2 month record or something!!! Funny ;o)

I need to slim down - loose a lot of weight. Plans... ease up a lot on the drinking. Go jogging, or get a bike, and go out on it every day, which is an Idea I've been toying with for about 3 years or something like that... it's just finding the cash that's the problem. I want one that's about $600-$700, but I honestly don't know where I'd get the money from at the moment. Sure, I could save up for it, but that'd take me about or 5 months... and I'd also have to cut back on the alcohol as well. Yikes... I've got to get books for uni next semester, and they'll cost me about $500, so I'll have to start saving for them asap. I think I can manage putting $100/fornight away for them, but that leaves things a little tight, given I smoke, and how much I drink... but if I cut back on the drink, it should work out okay, and if I quit smoking, I'm set I think.

That's something else that's been on my mind, but I don't think I'll be giving up on the smoking till I'm done with it. Mind you.. I could very well just stop smoking one day and not say another word about it - who knows?

Lemme see...

- Study up for next year: that can wait till next year when I'm doing it
- Stop smoking: yeah.. I'm not done with it at the moment, but I might - who knows?
- Do some exercise: can't be arsed unless it's on a bikeor with some ab-swing type home equipment
- Stop drinking: I think I'll cut back to weekends and nights out, like I used to
- Produce some music: I don't feel inspired enough to sit down and produce anything at the moment
- Go for walks: I'd rather find something else to do at the moment, like playing soccer or something like
that, which I'd probably like to get into. but I'd probably have to get fit first
- Meet people? I probably should, but I don't think I'll be venturing in that direction much till next year some time,
or maybe even the year after
- Go on the net: I'm getting kinda bored with it, as there's not much that I really wanna look up anymore... i usually
just sit on facebook with my webmail client open... chek the news... stuff

I'm out of ideas at present... any ideas welcomed ;o)

Hey there,

Just a quick update... I've been working a new tune, which I'm calling Twighlight.... not finished yet, but it's looking kinda promising... it's DnB, for those who are interested. Other than that, I've been doing some writing, and not much else other than boozing it up.

I'm also moving my facebook page across to a new Timothy Love page, and I put the old Stephen Graham facebook page back... this is to keep things tidy, and it's also because of the fresh start thing.. i thought I'd start fresh with the new name with a fresh facebook page ;o)

Anyway... I have lunch to get.

Chill,

Timothy.

Hey there,

I've just finished enrolling in a Master of Project Management at Mount Lawley... also got my student housing transfer through, and government fee-help organized, which is like getting a loan from the government to pay for the studies... pretty much a HECS equivalent for post-graduate studies. Also, I withdrew from my Engineering Degree, so I'm all sorted for next year - I get withdrawn-failed for all my units, which is better than plain fails I suppose ;o)

Still getting into my music production.. quite slowly though, but I've got a tune that I've been working on, and it sounds quite nice/catchy, so that's all good.

Other than that... yeah... just chillin' I suppose... no more exams, and no more assignments - I'm finished for the year :o)

Oh! I've started getting into Chaucer... I love his poetry, but I've found that if you want to read it properly, you have to read it with an English accent - a London one in particular. Otherwise, things just don't make as much sense ;o)

Here's a quote from one of his poems:

"Whoever best acquits himself, and tells
The most amusing and instructive tale,
Shall have a dinner, paid by us all"

nice stuff !!!

I can't help this.... I've got this yearning (as my doc puts it) for London, or I'm homesick for it... least that's what it feels like... maybe I lived there in a past life or something and want to go back. strange...

Hey there,

Well, I've had my birthday, and I'm up to 33 now. Went to a noodle house for dinner with my family and that was nice. Also got myself a new digital camera for my birthday from my mum, and had a few drinks to celebrate my birthday. I was a little something over the weekend, and basically took a couple of days off from studying over the weekend.

Actually, I'm pretty much over this course that I'm doing - mainly as I'm bombing out completely in all subjects, to the point where there's no point in me sitting the exams because I've already failed the units. I guess it's not for me, but I still want a masters in something, so I'm thinking about changing course next year to do a Masters or Grad Diploma in Project Management, but it would mean moving to somewhere like Mount Lawley, as that's where that course is offered - which is a neusance.

I think perhaps, that I might get some programming done for my company - Eschelon IT... I want to get a new name of Eschelon Data, for programming, and keep the Eschelon IT company name for IT services, etc.

Also, I've got an update about the Student Housing fees for next year, and I'll have to pay them a $400 bond, which I'll have to get a centrelink loan for, which is a pain. I don't know, maybe I'll move out on my own for next year if I can, but I really can't afford the bond of $800 upwards. Then I'd still have to get furniture for the place - and a fridge as well... or I could eat out every night.

Here's a couple of pics of my place at the student village...

My unit... lounge and kitchen area...

My bedroom desk

My bedroom desk...

Well, that's all for now I guess - apart from this... me changing my name to Timothy Love had nothing to do with the Simpsons character Timothy Lovejoy. The surname's even different... not the same.

Timothy.

Hey there,

Just plodding along at uni, and just had my mid-semester break. Apologies for not updating my blog in a while, but it's my diary that I've mostly been writing in lately. However, after getting a but of a nudge from Laura, I thought I'd better give an update ;o)

I've been fiddling about with Reason and my new keyboard, but haven't really produced anything as yet. It's fun playing around with the 4.3Gb or so of samples that I bought, but it takes a lot of time finding the proper ones for a tune, and by the time that you find the sound you're looking for, that tune that's been playing in your head's already gone.

Anyway, I'm staying at ECU Student Housing Joonalup now, and it's been good so far, so I'm hoping to stay on here next year as well. I need to empty my rubbish bin.

What else is going on then... well, for starters, Mental's moving house on Saturday, and I've been seconded to help, so that's okay. I'm not going to be house-sitting for my mum any more, which is a bit of a relief. I've started writing a project managment tool - it's a check-listing application for task management.

I keep on thinking about going for a walk to the lake, but I haven't been bothered enough to do so... it seems like such a walk to get there even, probably the rest of my house-mates have been, so I shold probably go for a walk there as well some time.

I'm staying with an aussie guy and girl, a sweedish guy and girl, and a moroccan guy. They seem nice, and we tend to get along pretty fine, so that's all good I guess.

I think I'm probably going to fail one of my units, so I went to the disability officer on campus and gt some concessions sorted out - extra exam times, late submittal of assignments, etc. which is good, so I can relax a bit more than I could before.

Well, I can't think of much else to write here at the moment, so I'll bid you a good day,

Timothy

Okay, time for another update....

I got a new calculator - HP50G graphics calculator... a new midi keyboard... a copy of Reason 4... my uni books... a new single bed quilt cover... a new watch... some sound samples (quite a few of them actually)... and I'm moving into student housing on saturday.

Oh, and I legally changed my name to Timothy Love... which was good... and I've already got my driver's licence, bank accounts, uni records, and other stuff updated too.

good stuff.

Timothy.

Hey there,

It's tax time again, and I've worked out what I'm gonna spend my money on. Lots of samples and a MIDI keyboard... so it looks like I'm getting into music production for real this time.

Yeah, I found this awesome sample site, http://www.sampleoidz.co.uk/ which totally rocks, and I've got myself down for about 10 or so CD's of samples worth about $200AU. I worked out that after I've got everything I need, I won't have enough money to get a copy of Cubase, but that's okay... I can get that later.

On another note, I've missed a week of uni, and a couple of other lectures here and there, so I'm in catch up mode. It's been pretty enjoyable however so that's cool.

What else...

I'm changing my name to Timothy Love Tessin once my tax return comes through, which should be next week some time. Oh, and tht means I'll have to start practising my new signature straight away.

that's all for now,

Stephen.

Hey there,

I just moved in with Mental last week, and things have been going just fine. Watched a movie last night - Grand Tourismo or something like that, and had half a carton with Mental over some nice Jungle tunez.

What else has been going on???

Well, turns out that someone found my mobile phone on the bus, and called my mum to let her know about it. I went over and picked it up this afternoon, so that's a spot of good news for me. Nothing much else has been happening lately other than the fact that the job hunt is continuing. There's not much on the market these days, which is probably due to the recession, and the slump around the world, but I'm just keeping on going with it, and something's bound to turn up for me as it always does.

I've been thinking about my move to the states in about 5 to 7 years time, and I'm quite looking forward to it.

Anyway, I'm at my sister's house, and I don't want to be a good guest so that's it for now.

Stephen.

16 June 2009 @ 06:54 pm
Hey there,

Just a quick entry to let you know that I'm moving in 5 days time to Mental's house up north of the river. It's pretty close to Whitford's shopping centre, so that's pretty far away from Fremantle where I currently stay.

Hmmm.... what else... I lost my mobile phone yesterday so I'm pretty pissed off about that. I think it might have dropped out of my jacket pocket on the bus going home from the shops as I remember checking the time on it before I got on the bus. I'll have to get a new one as I'm looking for a job and I need to have a number that people can call me on for interviews, etc. I think my thinb drive has a virus on it.

Oh yeah, I went up to Mental's house on the weekend, and we headed up to Paul's... got stoned and took a whitey - first one I've had in years, so that wasn't enjoyable at all. has taken me till today to get better from it, and I don't know if I'm 100% just yet either. Mental thinks it might have been some interaction between the meds that I'm taking and the mull.

I used to take whitey's whenever I took the stuff, but I haven't had one in years, so perhaps Mental's idea was spot on. Oh well... no mull on those meds I guess.

Anyway, I'd better get going.

Stephen.

Okay, I've sorted out what the name is that I want to have... it's Tristan Tessin - nothing else will suffice.

Looking for a job, and moving in with Mental in a couple of weeks.. Sorted.

Hi there,

been a while since my last post, but i'm doing okay.

i've also been having a think about the name change, and i'm thinking that i'll leave it for a little while longer before i do anything, if i do anything about it that is. I think that the name michael stephen graham is a little bit too much for me just now, but i'm actually thinking about keeping the name stephen for a change... but i still want to change the graham part of my name. I'm thinking that Love is a lovely surname, but i'm honestly having second thoughts about it... don't know why though i do know why.

how about Stephen Love for a change? I mean, stephen is a lovely name when you put Love at the end of it, but MSG... !! well, I'm over it.

So, at the moment, it's either Timothy Love, or Stephen Love... but I guess Timothy is a better name for me overall.

What else... I've started looking for a new job, but haven't had much success so far, though I haven't really been hitting it so hard.

ummm... i have no internet connection at home at the moment, so I'll have to get that one sorted out, along with all my bills, but I need a new job before I can get much or any of that stuff sorted out.

i'm also thinking about leaving and going to the USA in the next 5 to 7 years time, after getting myself sorted out with some money... I neeeeeed money at the moment, and also for the things that I want to do down the track. I'm tired of scraping for cash, and hocking everything I have in order to get some smokes or to have a drink.

I'm also hoping to give up the smokes, and the drinking for a while, but not just yet. I'm waiting for something to happen first.

oh well.. time for a smoke i guess...

ta ta for now,

Stephen.

Hi there, it's me again...

First up, there's a couple of things that I think I should mention... I'm changing my name to Timothy Love, and I'm writing a thesis for which I plan to make a few dollars.

Next up, I'm not stupid, and I really don't think too many people read my blog, but if someone's out to find out things about me, then they'd probably end up reading this blog... so... just in case...

Andrew, I want to say hello, and James... I want to chat. Oh, I should probably mention... my colour is pure cream. Ta ta for now.

Hey there....

I just paid $50 bucks for a tune on 12".... pretty rare this day to get a copy of Antic "the Ultimate", so I guess it's worth it. I can't say that I'll enjoy the wait for it to be delivered from Holland.. but when it comes... I'll be high on the beat.

Am thinking about getting a private rental - might be a good idea considering.

Well, it's that time of year again, so I'm writing to wish you all a happy new year, and to say merry Christmas.

I've not beenup to all that much lately - just work and housesitting for my sister. Didn't even do that much for new year either, just went to my mum's for dinner and to get pissed.

I think I'll go and cook dinner - I'll have a chick pea curry I think, should be a good feed.

bye for now,

Stephen.
